Healers of the Moana
OUR MISSION
To advance Pasifika health and wellbeing by bridging traditional healing, public health, education, research, movement, and community action, while creating pathways for healthier generations across the Moana and throughout the diaspora.
Healers of the Moana is a community-centered Pasifika health initiative uplifting Pasifika (Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander) voices in healthcare, biotech, clinical research, and healing practices.
Through intergenerational talanoa, cultural knowledge-sharing, evidence-based research and community dialogue, Healers of the Moana reclaims the narrative surrounding health and wellness, while providing space to understand modern medicine, clinical trials, biotechnology, and healthcare.
Health is not just the absence of disease.
Health is our ability to thrive as individuals, families, and communities.
PASIFIKA HEALth Collective
The Pasifika Health Collective, a network within Healers of the Moana, connects Pasifika health professionals, researchers, educators, students, community leaders, and allies working toward healthier Pasifika communities.
Through talanoa, collaboration, mentorship, health education, research, and community connection, we create pathways for Pasifika communities to access knowledge, participate in research and innovation, and shape the future of our health.
