Mana Summer Bridge Program
Mana at College of San Mateo is more than just a learning community, it is a movement. Over the past decade, Mana has uplifted Pacific Islander and first-generation voices across the Bay Area, throughout California, and even on national stages in higher education. Whether through conferences, policy panels, or groundbreaking student research, Mana continues to center culture, identity, and excellence in everything we do and now, you are part of this legacy.
The first-ever Mana Summer Bridge experience centers Pacific Islander cultural values and community-building while offering practical, academic, and emotional preparation for the college journey. Designed exclusively for incoming Mana students, this three-part onboarding experience uses talanoa, workshops, and guest speakers to help students explore their sense of place, power, and purpose as they begin their time at CSM. These sessions connect students to their new community, introduce them to college life, and provide opportunities to explore the exciting world of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math), where all students are encouraged to thrive, lead, and innovate.
