Centering Equity & Empowerment

STEAM goes beyond facts and formulas, it’s about empowering students to shape the world they envision. Every student deserves access to meaningful learning, supportive environments grounded in cultural humility and justice, and opportunities to pursue innovation rooted in their identity.

African Designed Community Health Cardiovascular Center

Our research project aims to not only to improve the cardiovascular health outcomes of Ghanaian communities, but empower African indigenous knowledge systems in healthcare. It aims to create a cross-diasporic connection between Black American and African communities across the globe to address cardiovascular health disparities.

  • Our initiative will partner with University of San Francisco, Washington University, and Princeton’s professors, scientists and researchers to amplify our strategic goals.

    Many of the experts have extensive experience working with minoritized and Black communities across the globe through health education, and health research.

Partnerships

First Gen in STEM Leadership Academy advances Economic Mobility by preparing first-generation college students in Marion County for careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics through workforce readiness, employer partnerships, and professional mentorship. The initiative also supports Educational Attainment by strengthening student persistence, confidence, and leadership through culturally responsive learning experiences that connect identity, belonging, and career success.

  • By bringing together universities, employers, nonprofit organizations, and community leaders, the program builds a collaborative workforce ecosystem that expands opportunity while strengthening Indiana's future STEM talent pipeline.

Media, Arts & Storytelling

Storytelling is both an art and a research practice. We explore filmmaking, photography, digital media, and visual storytelling as tools for documenting culture, amplifying community voices, and creating social change.

We tell stories through media, art, film, and publishing that preserve knowledge, amplify community voices, and inspire future generations.

  • We are currently producing a documentary that celebrates the strength, resilience, and stories of Pasifika communities. The project highlights lived experiences, cultural knowledge, and community voices through a decolonial storytelling approach.

  • Launching soon, our editorial magazine explores the seasons through a decolonial lens. Our first edition will feature expressive design and cultural storytelling on how different cultures celebrate seasons year around.

Rooted in Identity, Rising in Innovation: Pacific Islander Pathways into STEAM

In partnership with College of San Mateo’s Mana program, Decolonise All proudly helped launch the first-ever Mana Summer Bridge in 2025, a groundbreaking initiative designed to support Pacific Islander and first-generation students as they begin their college journey.

At Decolonise All, we believe that culturally responsive education is critical to long-term success. This collaboration reflects our ongoing commitment to uplifting Pacific Islander youth through curriculum, partnerships, and spaces that affirm identity and belonging.

Through our partnerships, Decolonise All advances its commitment to empowering youth with the skills, mentorship, and opportunities needed to thrive in biotech and beyond, creating clear pathways from education to impactful careers.

  • Rooted in culture and driven by purpose, Mana at College of San Mateo has grown into a powerful movement for Pacific Islander and first-generation students. For over a decade, Mana has elevated voices across the Bay Area, throughout California, and on national platforms in higher education. From conferences and policy panels to pioneering student research, Mana continues to center culture, identity, and academic excellence in all that we do.

  • Youth Empowerment, Entrepreneurship, and Employment!

    YEEE! has been empowering San Mateo County youth for over 15 years, serving hundreds of young people annually through camps, industry tours, and an annual showcase. Rooted in the belief that education leads to liberation, YEEE! prepares youth for success in entrepreneurship and employment.

    At Decolonise All, we partner with YEEE! to manage key collaborations—such as those with Genentech and Gilead Sciences, two leading biotech companies known for innovation in healthcare—that create meaningful career pathways for youth. Our mission is to ensure all young people have access to workforce development that leads to sustainable employment.
